September ScrapBursts

For the month of September there will NOT be a Monthly Pack, due to Retreat. So we have decided to give you all something to keep you busy, here and at Retreat, especially for those with school holidays creeping up and a bit of extra time!

For another round of exciting ScrapBursts we will be running the Challenge throughout September. With prize packs up for grabs, we hope to see your creativity Bursting into Spring with a ScrapBurst Challenge! You can choose which ScrapBurst to do first, as long as each one is entered by Pumpkin Time September 30th! All winners will be announced on October 3rd.

You will find the criteria for each ScrapBurst Challenge below the Heading. You must stick to these criteria to be eligible for a prize. There must be a minimum of 4 entries in each challenge before a prize will be given.

The following Techniques can be used in conjunction with any of the listed criteria for each ScrapBurst: inking, painting, misting, stamping, sewing, piercing, masking and distressing.

Once again we’ll be putting together some SB KITs for you to use, but these are NOT compulsory. The Kits will include value added products to let you complete your challenge without the hassle of searching for products. If you purchase a SB KIT you can only use WHAT IS IN THE KIT, plus any of the allowed Techniques, as listed above. You can, however, use your own alphas and cardstock if you choose.

A winning ScrapBurst entry will WIN a SCRAPBURST PRIZE PACK! A winning entry that used a SB KIT, will ALSO WIN a BONUS PRIZE. Once again there will only be a limited number of Kits available in each ScrapBurst Challenge.  T&C apply.

This layout is going to be about YOU, and includes a list of 5 things about yourself. There must be a photo of YOU. Your list can be done any way you choose, as long as there are 5 Items about You.

Your layout must include a group of at least 6 Hexagonal Shapes. They can be grouped together, or spread around separately, but there MUST be at least SIX.

The HEX can be in the paper, a stamp, screen, chip shape, fussy-cut from patterned paper - but you MUST have them clearly visible on the layout.

You must literally Distress this layout using Distress Inks, Distressing Tools and Distressing Techniques. As well as that, you MUST have at least ONE STAMPED IMAGE in the Background (using Distress Ink, and noting the colour used when entered).

You must include this WORD in the TITLE, or a derivative of this word (heart chip shape…). Your layout must also reflect the theme of the Title.

Here is our first sample for the #4 ScrapBurst, just to get you started!

I Love U by Anita Bownds (CT) ("Heart for "O")
Anita has used one of our EzyPzy Kits to do this ScrapBurst.  The colours are fantastic, as is the subject!  She has used cutout shapes to add her hearts, with wonderful spritzed watercolours to accent the background.
A bit of doodling on the hearts and a bit of bling is easy to get away with on a boy page - when it's BLUE!
How gorgeous is this flower? Anita does wonders with her handmade techniques and doodling. Beautiful layout Anita, well done.

We hope you have fun with these ScrapBursts, and look forward to seeing what you come up with.

There is ONE more post to upload for the August Monthly Pack.  Due to some equipment failure, this won't be uploaded until Saturday Night.  Apologies to Delsie and Judy, but we look forward to seeing your creations then!!
