ScrapBurst #2 - Hexagons on a Layout - at least 6
Pippa by Debi Clark
Loving the simplicity of your hexagons Debi, mounted up and put into their own little stitched sections. The flower cluster adds softness to the page, and also has it's own little hex centre as a balance. You can't help to focus on that new little person though, just 4 days old and snuggling right into that page! Lovely Debi, well done.
This next Sketch is actually from the Aug/Sept challenge, and I missed it as Rita sent me the link to her blog instead of the pic. Never fear, I picked up the image there and got it uploaded, and as it was received on the 11th still qualifies to be in the challenge. Apologies to Rita for missing the link.........
Beccati by Rita Russello
Rita has used chipboard alphas to trace around as a templace, then coloured in the letters with watercolours. It really is effective and gives you more use of your alphas! Well done Rita, and thank you for joining us.
September/October Sketch Layout
Daniel by Anita Bownds (CT)
I used light blue cardstock for the background. I flicked light blue watercolours with a paintbrush onto my background. I used a doily as a template and painted over it with Gesso. I started cutting out my patterned paper, referring to the sketch design.
For the butterfly trails I used a silver gel pen… For my title I used alpha stamps onto patterned paper squares, and slightly overlapped them, then inked around the edges with black ink.
Thanks Anita, your sketch layout is just beautiful, and a gorgeous photo to boot!
