September Sketch Challenge!

Firstly, apologies for the delay in getting the new sketch onto the blog! This month has been a little crazy with the first ever Scrapville Retreat and OMGoodness... it was a fabulous weekend to say the least! More on the retreat soon, promise!
We haven't even had a chance to show-case all the wonderful August sketch challenge entries, however don't despair, we will be uploading your creations for all to see in the coming week along with the 'Winner's' announcement.
Every month we post a sketch challenge with randomly drawn prizes. The sketches are purely to give you inspiration for your creations, you don't have to follow the sketch verbatim, you can flip it, turn it, alter it slightly, add to it. However the original sketch design must be recognizable in your entry.

Looking forward to seeing all those wonderful creations!
Happy Scrapping,

KidsVille

Hi Everyone, sorry about wagging the Blog lately, but I'm back at last from Retreat and gearing up for the little people's School Holiday KidsVille tomorrow.

The little people will need to bring in their trimmers, adhesives and a 5x7 or smaller photo for the class.  Once you've finished the class you can have a free scrap, so bring along something extra.

................... wagging doesn't always pay off, there's so much more catch up on now!!!

September Monthly Pack

Hello Everyone, well haven't things just been a tad wet under foot?!  I hope that everyone has been safe during the region's recent floods.  With so much going on in that area I have fallen behind in my 'Monthly Duties', so I do apologize for that.  I will post a few photos later on that will help explain why.

For the September Monthly Pack we have decided to run with just the one pack, given that we already had the Mama Razzi pack from BoBunny, and Wishful Thinking from Fancy Pants before we threw a couple of Monthly Extra's into the mix for August with Kaisercraft's Hey Birdie and Le Chateau ranges.

Featuring for September is the Melissa Frances Heart & Home Collection.  We have something a bit vintage, shabby and storybook all mixed into one.  I am hoping the layouts and cards that the very talented Creative Team girls have put together will inspire you all to see outside your comfort zones and try something new.  Friday is when you can rush in to pickup your packs, when the last of the "delayed items" are back in stock and they are all ready to go!  I suppose sometimes things are just outside your hands........... Hope you all enjoy, photo of the pack will be uploaded shortly.........

Monthly Pack Layouts

Hello Everyone,
time to get an update on for all those extra layouts in the running for Scrapville's $20.00 Voucher.  We have had a few more layouts come into the store, and they are all so different.  I was quite surprised with the standard of work this pack has inspired as I had pictured something totally different in my mind when I first looked at using the Mama Razzi range from BoBunny.  Needless to say the girls have outdone themselves!  Take a look for yourselves......

Sally Clark - Life is Beautiful

Sally Clark - Where it all Began
Roz - Jersey Boys Finale
Roz - What a Night!
Helen - Weirdos... Pg 1
Helen - Weirdos... Pg 2
Snap Happy

Using the Wishful Thinking pack from Fancy Pants, these layouts have used an interesting mix of the colours.  The bunting gives the layouts such a nice, softening lift.  The richer colours in the sketched flower patterns have also added quite a contrast to the range.  Again, I found the use of these flowers a little unexpected as I had not pictured them in quite the same way and those finicky cutting scrappers out there have!  Credit to them though, we've seen some awesome cutting skills being practised without a single cutting injury in sight!

Helen - Friends... Pg 1
Helen - Friends... Pg 2
Jennie - Memories

Also in the mix is some of the Kaisercraft layouts using the Extra Monthly Packs,  Le Chateau and Hey Birdie.
Heather (CT) - Twenties

Melinda Spinks (CT) - Family
Heather (CT) - Lily
Well if you're not exhausted looking at all those you're doing ok!  Some fantastic work from the girls.  I have more to upload, so will get this posted and work on the next one!

Happy Creating

BLIND CROPVILLE x 2

Hi Everyone,
Well what a great couple of classes we had this month at the Blind CropVilles.  Melinda set a task to the girls in doing a typical "Melinda Style" layout, and they set about working on lots of cutting and mounting up.  I must say, staying "reasonably close" to the instructions, this would have to be the closest Blind CropVille(s) for matching up with the "Master".  It was great to run, and the girls had a ball.  Thanks to Melinda for the layout design, and Allana for running the second class.

Now, lets see what they all did..........
