ScrapBurst #3

Welcome to the third ScrapBurst Challenge, BLUE plus 1.  This week we are looking at using the colour BLUE, plus ONE other colour of your choice!  You may, however, vary the shades of your chosen colours for more diversity, use inks, paints or mists in these colours, and also do the same for your embellishments. The colour you choose to add is entirely up to you, and you will have until the 30th June to have ALL your ScrapBursts completed.

SCRAPBURST #3 - BLUE plus 1
The girls have all been allocated a different colour to work their BLUE with, so you can see something different from the Team.  Here are the first layouts for this Challenge.
 - BLUE plus PINK -
...Surrounded by Blue by Sally Clark (CT)
Sally has found the perfect way to use up all those scraps of patterned paper that have been mounting up, and just how effective is it?  Along with some circle work on the Cricut Expression and a beautiful photo taken on their last family holiday to the 'States, the colours tie in beautifully.  The full journaling reads "It's hard to be PINK when I'm surrounded by BLUE"
Sally has added a hidden tag behind the photo for journaling about the the photo without disrupting the flow of the layout.  A great effort with the colour combinations, and even more special with a house full of boys!
- BLUE plus YELLOW -
Jan 2011 by Sam Epps (CT)
Sam has toned her BLUE down with an emphasis on aqua blue to work with the YELLOW.  The border has been stitched, holding the fabric in place across the layout to compliment the bow.  The Martha Stewart Double Loop punch has added a very decorative look to the page, with some delicate doodling all around it's loops.  The photo has been cleverly mounted onto a jigsaw of yellow chip alphas which looks very effective.
Here we can see the stitching and doodling, with a scattering of stitched sequin flowers across the layout.

Great work girls, the first of several Colour Combinations to come.  I hope you can all find some inspiration to play with the ScrapBursts, they are proving lots of fun.
