October/November Sketch Challenges

Hi Everyone, welcome to a new month of Sketch Challenges at Scrapville. I hope you all enjoy Anita's designs, and are inspired to join in.  Your challenges must be in before Midnight (Pumpkin Time) on the 14th of November, so be sure to drop them into the store, or email your images into scrapville@iinet.net.au, making sure to edit your sizes.  Now let's take a look at the challenges and some of our Team's samples.
October/November Layout Sketch Challenge
She is Beautiful by Anita Bownds (CT)
Anita flicked light blue paint onto the background, and added stamped patterns with watercolour.   A bit more stamping to the bottom stamped chevron image adds a shabby look.

Decorative scissors were used to cut strips in a wavy pattern.  A shipping tag and fussy cut doily with flowers is used to embelish around the photos layers.   A chipboard heart was made into a button, and a little twine bow added to the tag.

The doily was cut from patterned paper, and layers added beneath the photo.  The layout has been embellished further with more twine, bling, a chipboard button, feather, flower.and a ribbon.  A fine tip pen was used to trace around some of the paint specks, and to outline the border.  The title is painted using BasicGrey chipboard alphas.
Well done Anita, just gorgeous.
October/November Card Sketch
Butterfly Card by Sally Clark (CT)
Sally used a DoCrafts collage stamp and Fired Brick and Vintage Photo Distress Inks on her card.
Black StazOn was used to stamp the butterfly on acetate, then fussy-cut to layer the butterfly image.   The wings were folded up, and some Kaiser pearls added for the body and head.
Add the banner tag, button and bling and its all done!
Here Sally used a Martha Stewart border punch, inked using Vintage Photo, to create borders on the front and inside the card.

Beautiful work girls, and lots of different techniques.  I am sure you have inspired everyone to get started already!
