October Challenges

Check out what the Creative Team girls have done with this month's pack.
Set of Cards by Claire Apostoloff (CT)
This is Claire's set of Cards using Nestabilities and Dies to make the Frames, Flowers and Leaves.  She has also used the Glitz papers from the October Monthly Pack as they were perfect for these cards, and there's so much in the pack to play with!
Firstly I made a collage using some different patterned papers, torn tissue and gesso. I sprayed a small amount of yellow Glimmer Mist on it and cut two shapes using my Nestabilities. These have provided the background for the flower.
I cut the front on a diagonal, covered it with the striped paper and then covered the inside of the card in a different paper. It's very difficult to photograph so the first is lying flat and the second is how it looks standing up!  The flowers have been made using dies.  I put a little bling In the centre of the flower.
On this card I used a paper rose bud in the centre. The black leaves are also a die. When I stamped the sentiment I stamped it first in white and then stamped over the top in black to make it stand out more.
She is...One Sassy Girl by Anita Bownds
Anita's layout is set out so that the main focus is immediately drawn to the photo and those eyes.....  The simplicity and splash of colour makes it a very versatile page, with clean lines.  The staggered top and bottom borders are also very effective with a splash of cherry red.
Anita has used the embossing folder on the background and sanded over the top of the embossed image.   She has also used a brick wall template to add a slight shadow to the background.

Lovely work girls, this pack is indeed proving to be very versatile.

Love your interpretation of the layout Anita - the masking is so subtle but looks gorgeous. Can't wait to have a go at that sketch!

Wow Anita, your layout is simply sensational. Love the sanded embossing on the background - clever idea that:)
