Green Ants by Anita Bownds (CT)
"I've used water paints to create some colour on the cardstock to match the patterned papers, and then sewn around the outside of my cardstock to create a border. I've added foe stitching and doodling. I border punched some paper then gathered and stitched them together.
I created a paper rose from patterned paper, then mounted this on the scalloped border punched from paper and topped with the black Ric Rac. I made a little flag by gathering and sewing to the frame."
I love the colours in your layout Anita, although there isn't a lot of paper on it your layout has given the pack a whole new look. It's very neat with clean lines, I think it looks great - well done.
Hello Card by Claire Apostoloff (CT)
"I've used a Martha Stewart punch around the page to make the bracket shaped card. I've cut off part of one of the journal spots and cut the bird from it. I've then glued the bird next to the flowers. The flowers have been covered in Dimensional Magic and I've stamped the sentiment. I've then cut a strip
from the paper, inked the edges and sewn the buttons on. I used a marker to do some faux stitching around the edges of the card."
Very nice Claire, great colours and a very cute little bird too.
Birthday Flowers by Deb Pulford (CT)
What beautiful flowers Deb, something nice to come home to after your trip away. The strips in your layout are all very bright and colourful, just like special birthdays! The layered handmade paper flowers add a bit of dimension at the bottom of the photos to tie in with the other paper strip. Well done Deb.
ahh... Friends by Angie Wenke
Angie has also used patterned paper strips on her layout, but with more white space. The hearts have been cut out from another paper and covered in Dimensional Magic. Angie has also added lovely stamped images representing the Friends, which she has coloured with Copic Markers. Well done Angie.
Be In The Moment by Zan Boyle
Zan's layout has lots happening, least of all the lovely quotes from the patterned paper. There seems to be something in them for everyone. The background mask was sprayed with Glimmer Mist and works well. A little tearing, layering, distressing and mounting up brings it all together. Well done Zan.
