A Little Spin...

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to share a couple of layouts that have been hiding away in my back room.  These are layouts that I changed up a bit, just to show you how to make it work for you.  One was a Grunge Class, and the other was a Blind CropVille.

This had actually been sitting in my "Work in Progress" stash for a while, and I wanted to show how you can use different colours to change it up - or put a bit of spin on it.
There's quite a bit of distressing in this layout, using the distressing tool, distress inks and Glimmer Mist. Oh, and considerable violent scrunching on the flowers...
We also got to play wit the Cricut to do this layout, and that was a lot of fun.  The leaves look great cut in two parts with the tops adhered only at the stems so they sit up.
This is what we started with...

Dinner and a Show by Janet Watt (CT)
Yes, very sad!  This is how we spend our holidays, camping and relaxing.  I was very tempted to call this layout "Dish Pig", but I got too much humour out of the current title!  Again, there was a bit of distressing on this layout, and a bit of Dimensional Magic for added shine.  The tree is a chip shape, and I covered that in Chalkboard Glimmer Mist, which I love.  The little fussy cut hearts are from the Jillibean Monster range that I was itching to use, and the pirate paper with it little embossed skulls just added a bit of aghhhrrrrrr.....

I did Dimensional Magic a few of the eyes to make them pop up a bit more, then inked the edges and layered them.
Oh my goodness.... the chip letters were white, and I inked them red.  The papers are torn and inked and overlap.  The charming photos are mounted so that you can really get a good look at camping man.
and this is the initial layout...

This is a tad "prettier" than mine, but I did want to blokey it up a bit.
I used the same style leaves on my tree, and added dimension to the eyes.  I substituted the butterflies with random skulls, covered with Dimensional Magic and mounted up.  Instead of scalloped and straight edges I tore mine.

I hope you've enjoyed my little show and tell.  It's good to show you how to change things up a little to make a layout work for you, .... and I get to have a little fun scrapping every so often!

These two layouts are so AWESOME. I love the alien eye tree, and the many layered hearts. They both look great!
