April Monthly Pack Layouts

I hope everyone is being inspired to create after seeing the girls' work with our Handmade Patchwork range from LilybeeDesign.  Here we have some creations to share from the girls, each and every one that little bit different.
What a Big Sooky Bubba by Anita Bownds (CT)
Makes you just want to tickle him under the chin doesn't it?  Anita's layouts gives us lots of white space, which she tones down with a spattering of red and green water paints.  Anita used a lace border punch to decorate the edge’s of the layered photo, and around the page border.  The gorgeous leaves have been cut out of the fabric.  Just lovely Anita.
Play us a Song by Deb Pulford (CT)

This is a layout of Deb's great nephew Mason. She has outlined the outer edges of the various patterned papers, cream twill, banner, embellishment spots and journaling spot with a black pen. The papers are layered on straight lines, and the blue Pom Pom bobble trim and bunting give the photo more focus. Love the white space and colour combination Deb, well done. The Technical Department would like to apologize for the shadow on the scan as well.
The Great Canberra Egg Hunt by Claire Apostoloff (CT)
Claire says "LOVE this pack! The colours screamed Easter to me!  I've cut various borders with a Martha Stewart punch, inked them and did some faux stitching along the edges.  I made the envelope from a template. I cut one of the stickers from the sheet in half and used this to embellish the side details."
One of the journal spots on the sticker sheet has been folded in half to make a tab and Claire attached this to a hidden envelope which has more photos in it, as she couldn't fit them all on the layout.  A great way to keep all those extra photos or keepsakes together.
This great egg banner' was made with the ribbon and patterned papers.  Claire made an egg template and cut out the row of eggs. She inked around the edges and used a ribbon punch to make a hole to thread the ribbon, alternating through the eggs.  Great colours Claire, well done.
Star Flower Card by Claire Apostoloff (CT)

Claire did a bit of a geometric design on this card, cutting equal sized triangles from the patterned paper and matting them against the bazzil.  The bunting was used to make a flower shape around one of the round stickers, and some of the triangular 'petals' were also matted against the bazzil.  The spine has also been edged with the Pom Pom bobble trim. I love the look of this card and the colours Claire, well done.
Memories are Stitched with Love by Sally Clark (CT)
To know Sally is NOT to be surprised by her layout at all - it just fits!  Sally gained her inspiration for this LO from the "Memories are Stitched with (heart)" sticker.
She created a ruffle by cutting the pattern tissue paper into strips and 'scrunching' them as they were stuck down.

A bit of hand stitching around each 'quilt piece' and around the edge of the LO finished it off nicely, adding more texture.  Nicely put together Sally, loving the ruffle and stitching.

There's some great work here from the girls. We hope these will help to spark some inspiration from this great pack.  Don't miss out, call in and grab one now or email Janet to order one.

Wonderful work girls, well done.  Stay tuned now, there's plenty more to come.
Janet
