April Monthly Pack

Hi Everyone, and welcome to Scrapville's April Monthly Pack.  This month we have chosen to run with the gorgeous City Park range from American Crafts.  With it's lovely mix of bright and pastel colours you will also find some of the patterned papers fully embossed with gorgeous little hearts and ducks.  I am hoping you will get as much joy out of the variety of this pack as the Girls have.
April Monthly Pack - City Park by American Crafts
Here you have a base of Kraft cardstock, pink vinyl thickers, 4 x double sided patterned papers, paper flowers, a button and organza ribbon, both in yellow.
April Monthly Booster - City Park by American Crafts
You'll have to excuse the lighting in this shot, the technical department had ensuing difficulties with lighting.............  Now, you will find a teal ribbed cardstock, 2 patterned papers, AdornIt Alphas, a mass of bling brads and some very yummy ruffled ribbon - with a dash of bling!  All combine perfectly with the Monthly Pack, as always.  The Boosters are limited, and only available with the purchase of the Monthly Pack.

Would you like to see what you can do with this?  The Creative Team have been busy playing with this one, and I am guessing that Sally has been zapping the Mojo out of anyone within range because she has come up with SO MUCH out of this range.  You go Girlfriend!  So, without further ado........

Rubber Ducky by Sally Clark (CT)
So hard to believe this little fellow now towers over "all of us!!"  There is so much to love about this layout, the hand stitching, the outlined thickers, the shaped and mounted little duckies and the water.
 Ducky in water......
Embossed duckies....

Bubble Trouble by Sam Epps (CT)
Sam has double mounted the cardstock, then stitched loose lengths of brown around the outside edging, and again on the embossed hearts patterned paper.  The layered patterned papers are double mounted also, and inked and paper pierced in a repeated pattern.  The ruffle just speaks for itself really, adding such a nice touch.  A hand cut butterfly tops it all off.
Layering, paper piercing and very loosely stitched brown thread.

Luv You 3 by Sally Clark (CT)
It is good to see Sally getting good use of the Flower Technique Class with her handmade flora.  Using the patterned papers for the rolled flowers has tied them into co-ordinating the layout very well.  Also in this pack was a yellow organza ribbon, which Sally has used to make her larger flower.
If you are a stamper, take a closer look at the Vinyl Thickers.  These stamp up beautifully, or lend themselves to a bit of experimental doodling for the shy stamper.
 Don't the colours look great?
If you are looking past this beautiful organza flower you will notice the paper pierced flourishes.  This was done on the WRONG side of the cardstock, then turned over.  (....if you are tracing your flourishes in greylead first, you can mess it up as much as you want - on the WRONG side!)  (...oh, and there is absolutely NO inference what-so-ever that that's what happened....)
Luv, luv, luv the stamping on these letters, they've come up a treat.
Blinging it up!

Sweet Baby Noah by Heather Bensley (CT)
It might take her a while, but we'll work on her.... there's only a little bit of pink on Noah's layout!  This first Grandson business will see this little fellow scrapped to within an inch of page (Grandma does afterall have to leave room for stitching!)  Making good use of the patterns, Heather has used the embossed hearts as a loving focus, with some decorative borders at one end.  To balance it off she has added layered flowers, that yummy ruffle with it's bling centres.
Also added are some delightful dancing heart shaped butterflies.  The brown paper makes for a great photo corner, and the stitching across one side sets it off.

Its a Boy by Sally Clark (CT)
White space, simplicity, delightful colours.  Just a precious layout, and another sample of the handy work from the Flower Technique Class.  The Bunting looks fabulous, and the quilling just enhances the flow of colour and delightful layout pattern.
The Bunting is actually layered with mounting tape, although this might be difficult to see. Tied together with thread and labeled with the AdornIt alphas, the flowers are a joyful compliment.
It's a boy alright, and another "whopper" at that!  These particular Thickers were used to compliment the colour theme of the layout, and give you yet another page.  They work perfectly, and simply by outlining these with a marker enhances their form to the eye even better.

What else can we do with this pack??
..........Well I'm glad you read this post!

 Hi by Sally Clark (CT)
The "X's" are hand stitched, the flower centres are hand punched from the patterned paper, the Vinyl Thickers are doodled around in a stitched pattern.

So there you have it everyone, lots of great ideas and inspiration to help you along with your Monthly Packs and Boosters.  Thank you to the Creative Team Girls for their continued beautiful work, and Welcome once again to Michelle who has just come on board.  I will be uploading more of your projects in the coming days.
