July Blind CropVille

The July Blind CropVille once again proved to be an entertaining event, with some wonderful outcomes. The girls all set out on a trail of cutting, distressing, paper crimping and sewing to complete their layouts in record time!  Just as well there were Scones with jam and cream waiting!!!  Have a look at Melinda's Reveal, then see how it compared to what the girls all came up with.

Thanks to Melinda for the Layout Design, and Sally for sitting in on the class to help the girls with "intrepretations..."  We're glad to see you and your family arrive back home safely after a monumental trip across America....... and a gazillion photos to scrap!!!

July Sketches!
Each month Scrapville runs a sketch challenge with randomly drawn prizes. The sketches are purely to give you inspiration for your layout and or card, with a design already in mind. You don't have to follow the sketch verbatim, you can flip it, turn it, alter it slightly, add to it, however the original sketch design must be recognizable in your final entry. All entries must be emailed to scrapville@iinet.net.au or dropped into the store in Wodonga before midnight, 14th August. Winners will be announced on the blog on the 15th August.

And if you are wondering about the gorgeous butterflies on each of the layouts... they are made from the Monarch Butterfly punch by Martha Stewart which Janet has in-store at Scrapville along with numerous other popular Martha Stewart punches.

Good luck with your sketch entries and don't forget you have until midnight, July 14 to email them through to www.scrapville@iinet.net.au or drop them into the Scrapville Store, Wodonga.

Helen has had a bit of a break from scrapping, and we are all pleased to see her Mojo return with a vengeance!  She has produced some beautiful work in this double layout for the sketch, right down to the pin pointing at the bottom.  Thanks Helen, lovely work.

Shiralee
Ok, who else is impressed?  Check out that ribbon weaving... and nice ribbon to boot!  And also noting here the embossing at the bottom of the page, great effort on your take of the sketch Shiralee.

You just can't go wrong with October Afternoon.  Sandie has put together a lovely card using bits and pieces of this wonderful range.  Looks great Sandie, thanks for joining in.

I am sure there are a couple more out there still to come in, but never fear, they'll all be uploaded soon enough.  Thanks for sharing girls.

There has been some very enthusiastic girls out there, inspired to create by the latest Sketch Challenge.  And not only do we have some wonderful layouts to share, but cards as well.

Roz - Layout
Love, love, love how those flowers came out.  Roz knew as soon as she saw this MS Punch that she had the perfect layout for it - and rightly so!

 Jennie - Layout
Lots of cutting out and mounting up here, and a nice touch with the fringing too Jennie.  Great to see you getting ........... on board......... with all the new techniques you're learning.

Roz - Card
What a great way to showcase those beautiful photos you're just not sure how to use.  Just a beautiful photo Roz.

Rosanne - Cards

Rosanne has been busy with her cards again, using a couple of different themes here with the sketch.  These look like they'll be on the next birthday list..........

Donna - Card
Welcome, welcome, welcome Donna!  Where have you been?  This is just beautiful, your quilling is just awesome, and doesn't the embossed background look great too.  Thanks so much for sharing.

Monthly Pack Layouts
We also have some layouts from the June Montly Pack to share with you as well.
Jane
This layout is using the My Little Shoebox Flying High pack. Jane has done a great job cutting out mounting up on her layout, and that picket fence is awesome!

 Cassie
Cass has shown us all here that Miss Party Piper really has grown up and isn't a baby anymore!
Mind you, she's still cutie.  Always nice to see how you workup a layout Cass.
Great work girls, so many different ways of putting a layout together from the same pack or sketch.
Thanks for Sharing.  Janet
