Imaginisce Sketch Challenge entry...
Imaginisce have been running another wonderful sketch challenge for the month of June with a stunning sketch from one of their designers Kim Holmes.
Now, one of our regular customers Sam has brought her entry into Scrapville so we thought we'd upload it for her and share her take on the challenge.
Sam has used the ever popular 'Let's Roll' collection from Imaginisce which we have in-store at Scrapville.
Goodluck Sam.

June Newsletter
Hello Creative People, and welcome to the latest Scrapville Newsletter.
There has been much hype in the store of late, what with the end of financial year looming closer to my first stock take........... boy oh boy, all that counting!
The Monthly Packs sold out again, and the new Martha Stewart pop up and border punches have been walking out the door............ oh boy! I think it would be a good idea for all interested to drop into the store and put down a deposit for the punches, and that will secure your sale when the next order arrives. I might also suggest that you "...shimmer in" and put your name down for the particular Glimmer Mist you'd like as well, as I can't seem to keep up with the demand! October Afternoon's Fly a Kite range will be in today, and the rest of the Cherry Hill packs should be out by the end of next week for those still wanting one - however numbers will definitely be limited, and these will not be made up again. This really has been such a popular range of papers, and it's been great seeing all the inspired vintage and shabby creations using them.
The new Kaiser Trimmers are now in-store, along with the Advent Calendars and 9 Drawer Storage Cabinets. I have seen the Advent Calendars decorated so nicely as special little storage spaces to put all those stray little bits and pieces. It's also perfect of course for getting an early start for .... dare I say it - Christmas! Scary thought I know....
We also have a range of book plates for the storage drawers as well. These are available in a metallic style, or rich painted colours in varying styles. Just the thing to finish off your project.
I have decided to charm you all with embellishments................ yes, I have new charms! If you like little brass clocks, some with white faces, bird cages, handbags, owls, camera's or funky birds - come see!! And ribbons, and pom poms and a few brassy and silver and bright buttons.............. and buttons, and ribbon............., and some new ribbons!! My oh my you're being spoilt! But seriously, there are lots of new bits and pieces in-store that are simply...................... charming!
We have lots of decorative brads in stock also, covered in pearl, glossy colours, lots of bling, chennile and velvet. They are nice and fresh, and dress up a page very nicely simply by adding as a flower centre, folding back a corner and fastening with a brad, or simply to secure a photo or embellishment.
We've managed to shuffle a bit of furniture around so there's more room on the wall for displaying your wonderful work. The Sketch & Monthly Pack Gallery is looking great, and providing many onlookers with much inspiration. We have slotted in more 12x12 cardstock racks, and down the back we have an A4 section for housing all those Japanese, Shimmer and specialty occasion papers.
The Blind CropVille has been a great success, and filling up very quickly a month in advance. It is so much fun, and our last night was no exception. We had bums off seats madly punching away at the pack, with some beautifully punched cardstock border strips being layered across the page. The girls were starting to doubt my ability to read the instructions correctly, however they all finished up with a beautiful layout with lovely layered lacy borders across it. ......and some ladies even realized that they really should follow the instructions and not jump ahead, but they'll no doubt be naughty again.....
The next Blind CropVille on 17th July is BOOKED OUT, and the following one on 28th August still has places available.
CROPVILLE BOOKINGS

Blind Crop Reveal!
Well Scrapville has again hosted a very successful and frivolous 'blind crop' in-store on Saturday evening and the ladies got to play with the new Martha Stewart punches... much to their delight!
For this month's blind crop master layout I decided to go for a different approach using white on white and lots of lovely border punches with pops of colour added by using patterned paper from Basic Grey, Kaiser rhinestones, flowers and butterflies.

And even Marg got to play along, although she wasn't there on the night, we sent her the instructions at the same time as the girls opened their packs, Marg used different products but still had a wonderful time and her layout is so precious with those pics of her gorgeous Granddaughter's Christening.Marg (DT)
If you would like to join in on the fun then pop in and see Janet at Scrapville, Wodonga or send her an email at scrapville@iinet.net.au to book in as the crops are booked weeks in advance. For those of you who live interstate or overseas, we can email you a copy of the instructions on the night.
Happy Scrapping!

Blind CropVille
Just a reminder that Blind CropVille is on tonight for those that booked in. The girls have all been sent their lists, requiring three photos this time, so I am very excited to see what comes out of this class. I have been told that the theme will be a bit "tizzy", so I'm assuming that means a bit of cutting or punching..... hmmmmm.
Good luck girls, and have fun.

June Sketches!
Each month Scrapville runs a sketch challenge with randomly drawn prizes. The sketches are purely to give you inspiration for your layout and or card, with a design already in mind. You don't have to follow the sketch verbatim, you can flip it, turn it, alter it slightly, add to it, however the original sketch design must be recognizable in your final entry. All entries must be emailed to scrapville@iinet.net.au or dropped into the store in Wodonga before midnight, 14th July. Winners will be announced on the blog on the 15th July.

Remember, if you use the sketch for any purpose other than to enter the Scrapville challenge, please give credit to the original designer.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Hello Creative People, well it's time for another Special Announcement..........
As you are aware we have had a Guest on our Creative Team to introduce new people and new talent to you through Scrapville. It is now time to say Thank You to Marg, who has been the first of our Guest Creative Team Members. Marg has created some beautiful projects, and has been enlightening us all with her very refreshing shabby style. I am sure you have all taken a bit of inspiration away from Marg's projects, and hopefully tried out a few of the techniques Marg has used.
But wait - there's more! She's not going far........... I have decided to keep Marg on board the Creative Team for a bit longer yet, as we are still one person down with Sally overseas. Marg has thankfully agreed, so you will all continue to see more of her wonderful projects.
With that spot filled I now have to announce my next Guest Creative Team Member for the next few months.................................
I would like to share a few Q and A's about Anthea with you, and look forward to seeing her exploring the bounds of creativity at Scrapville - which I don't doubt she will! Anthea will be joining Melinda and Marg on the Scrapville Creative Team, and I am sure you will see some pretty exciting stuff coming up very soon!! ................. now
Where do you scrap?
Mostly by myself on the kitchen table or the living room floor – but I have been going to a few crops at Scrapville lately which I really enjoy. I also love to scrap with my sister when she has the time.
No – but I have been accepted for submission in an upcoming issue of Scrapbooking Memories. I cannot wait to see my work in print!
I am excited to be a Guest on the Scrapville Creative Team because.........
I get to be a part of a pretty amazing scrapping team! Thanks for asking me to play along Janet!
Please be sure to say Hello to Anthea when you see her, or send her a comment on the Blog to welcome her onto the team. I look forward to bringing something new to Scrapville, along with some exciting months ahead for Anthea, the Team and You!!

Isn't this just the sweetest layout. Marg has ripped and sewn, made flowers and punched borders to create this amazing layout. She has also used one of the new Martha Stewart deep border daisy punches that we now have in-store.
Sample Cards by Marg (CT)
This pack is full of so much goodness that Marg had ample product left over from her layout to create a couple of very cute cards (and she still says "there's heaps left over"). Love the doodling around the border and that Martha Stewart daisy punch is just gorgeous!

October Afternoon - Cherry Hill
Well I am pleased to say that we are still receiving layouts in store from those who were lucky enough to get one of these fabulous packs before they sold out! I have also noticed that some of the ladies have really stepped outside their square with this pack and created some very different layouts to their usual styles. It's great to see so many of you trying new things and putting yourselves up to the challenge.
Heather
Well, we almost got away with it............ but at the last minute Heather found the sewing machine and did a couple of laps around the photo frame!! There was much to laugh about at the recent CropVille as the girls played, created, positioned and repositioned and positioned again. That's what we all do right?? Very nice page Heather.
Jennie
This girl has not ceased to amaze us with her enthusiasm and drive to try new techniques, styles and themes. I am thrilled to see her challenging herself with what Scrapville has to offer. You go Girl!!
This Monthly Pack was re-ordered due to it's huge popularity, and not just this range. October Afternoon has also put out 4 other ranges, and we have most of them in stock. The rest, as well as top ups, should be here soon... When these packs are made up and put onto the shelf there will not be any more made up, so first in best dressed I'm afraid. I will let you all know when they arrive....

Mothers Day Promotion Windup Week
Hi Everyone,
It was wonderful to see you for the Biggest Morning Tea on Thursday, and thank you even more for all the yummy cup cakes and biscuits brought into the store. They were very much appreciated by the big people AND especially the little people that ventured in with Mum or Nan!! It's so nice to do something for such a worthy cause.
The Scrap Night was a huge success and a lot of fun. There were some beautiful layouts completed, and lots of techniques being shared and tried. The PINK girls had a great time, with an abundance of energy sustaining cakes with petals of Pink and Poppyseeds..... to keep them going!
Thanks girls, with your contributions on the day, 20% of sales and the donations received in store to the end of May, we will be able to provide the Cancer Council with a healthy donation.
My Mother's May Promotion ended close of business 31st May, and I am sure the ladies that picked up a bargain will be very happy with their new toys. We have had lots of interest with the machines, and it will be great to see some projects from you using the new techniques they offer.
I also had a spot prize during the Biggest Morning Tea, matching up a name from the hat (my PINK one), with the name of each person entering the store on the day/night. Please be sure to call into the store to collect your prize from the Front Counter.
Spot Prize 1. Miss Ashleigh (..sorry Nicole, but she does shop at Scrapville.....)
Spot Prize 2. Jennie Seal (...and NO, you didn't win Dimentional Magic!!)
Thanks so much for all your support and contributions on the day, and at the scrap night.
I can't wait for the Girls Night In come October!!!
Janet
It was wonderful to see you for the Biggest Morning Tea on Thursday, and thank you even more for all the yummy cup cakes and biscuits brought into the store. They were very much appreciated by the big people AND especially the little people that ventured in with Mum or Nan!! It's so nice to do something for such a worthy cause.
