Hello All,
well this is officially the first post for "Scrapville", as a newly opened and trading scrapbooking and card making business. It has been a long process from the initial inquiry to the handing over of the keys, and then all that followed that! With my very supportive network of scrappy friends, and my non-scrappy partner, we pulled together a formidable display of utter confusion and chaos to finally open the doors!
After trading for the first week and continuing to update the newly arriving stock, we are finally up and running and rearing to go... Thank you to all those who managed to call in and pick up some goodies, or just have a look around and say hello. I look forward to getting to know you all.
I have decided to have the official Grand Opening of the shop on Saturday, 16th January. We will start the day at 10am, and finish up at around 2pm. Part of our Grand Opening Special will be the discounted Texture Boutique Embossing Machine from Sizzix, which is the perfect accompaniment to any fashionable scrapper in a dainty blue and black handbag style unit. With a variety of new embossing plates available, this unit also interchanges it's embossing plates with the Sizzix.
On the day you will get to meet the team behind the front doors, and perhaps be lucky enought to pick up a spot prize throughout the day. A display board will be on view to see the work of these very talented girls, and the calendar opened for the first crop night. Please book in early, as places will be limited.
Also on the calendar will be the first online challenge. You will have to enter this online at thescrapvilleblog.blogspot.com to qualify for any prizes, and we are excited to see what our first round of entrants will come up with! Why not have yourself some fun and enter, and you'll get to see other scrapper's work, and maybe even come out of it with a little something special!
Keep up to date with what's going on in the shop, fill in the in-store e-mail listing for Newsletters, New Releases and In Store Specials next time you're in, or alternately contact us at scrapville@iinet.net.au, with "Newsletter" in the Subject line and we'll add you on.
Well, I look forward to seeing you all instore again, and hope you are able to find whatever you need from the newly stocked shelves to help you achieve those stunning layouts and cards.
Until next time
Janet
