75 cents a month...

Yes, 75 cents is this month's wonderful Monthly Pack by Kaisercraft, and here is a sample of what Anita has done with it!  Filled with lots of goodies, I hope you are able to grab one and get creating!
I Totally Adore Him by Anita Bownds (CT)
Anita is never short of a technique or two.  Using her Gesso and some hand made shapes from sponge to stamp with, Anita has given the background a textured and patchy effect.  The drizzle and spritzing of black blends in nicely with the chevron paper.
The layering of the papers lifts the dimension of the photo.  The elements below the photo along the base are layered also, using the sticker sheet elements, patterned paper, lace and the buttons.
Here Anita has left her string bow loose, giving it movement, where above it's actually adhered, adding another level of texture.  The jouralling cards are a great way to blend in your theme and add more detail about the photos.  The butterflies add a lift of colour and, with a bit of mounting, even more depth.

Well done Anita, another beautiful layout of a very spoilt furry fellow!

Toot!!
I just wanted to send a little Toot to one of Scrapville's previous Creative Team Members, Heather Bensley, who has recently been published for the first time in Australian Scrapbooking Memories.  Congratulations Heather, your work is beautiful as always, and we are looking forward to seeing much more of your wonderful work in print!

Show & Tell
Too Cool for School by Jennie Seal
For Show & Tell we wanted to share a layout that Jennie has created, from when her son was in primary school.  Using these little boy cutouts doesn't take much to add a bit more cuteness to the page.  They're a simple addition that can give your creations that little bit extra.
From WeR, these many and varied designs are a quick and easy addition.  Perfect on a layout or for a more customized design on your cards, these will make the job that whole lot easier.  There are many to choose from, along with words or titles.  Check these out.

Lucky 8 Border Punches and Mini 8 Punches
These fantastic New punches are from WeR Memory Keepers and are the quick and easy way to dress up a page, or add a diecut.  With 3 or more options, these will be a Must Have for your Christmas List!  Here are just a couple to show you what we have, the rest are In Store Now.

For a better look check out our Window of Fame at the store, it's fantastic what these punches can do!

October Monthly Layouts

Hi Everyone, we have a few more layouts to share with you all in this post. We are fast approaching the end of the October Monthly Pack Challenges, but there is still plenty of time to get your Sketch Challenges in.
The Sixties by Sally Clark (CT)
Sally has had lots of fun with this one, lots of fun girly bits on it!  The distressing, inking and handmade flowers give it quite the homely look too.
I created the cutest little 'flower' using the Pom Pom trim, complete with a bling centre.
I used the tissue pattern paper to create a large flower as my focal point.  I accidentally spilt some Dimensional Magic on the finished flower and couldn't wipe it off, so I just covered the whole flower to cover up the mess...and I was surprised at how good it looked when completely dry.
I create my own bling flourishes using the bling from the Monthly Pack, and finished it off with a rolled ribbon flower!
1979 by Jennie Seal
Just the perfect photo for this page with that lovely red 70's dress Jennie.  The cutouts, the layering of the flowers and the edging on the inner page all work well together to give your page a great look.
The pelmets look very effective as a title, and the pelmets cut out from the patterned paper and slightly lifted give the ladies a little more movement.
Layering the decorative punched border strips once inked always gives them a more defined look.
She's Growing Up SO Super Fast by Anita Bownds (CT)
Anita has been very busy again, getting several layouts out of this pack.  Lots of doodling around the spatter adds a nice effect.
The B&W herringbone patterns are just enough to draw attention, but not overpower the main focal point.  The mini alphas from the pack are also a good size for journalling or titles.

Great work girls, just loving what has been done with this one, and all so different and inspiring.

October Challenges

Check out what the Creative Team girls have done with this month's pack.
Set of Cards by Claire Apostoloff (CT)
This is Claire's set of Cards using Nestabilities and Dies to make the Frames, Flowers and Leaves.  She has also used the Glitz papers from the October Monthly Pack as they were perfect for these cards, and there's so much in the pack to play with!
Firstly I made a collage using some different patterned papers, torn tissue and gesso. I sprayed a small amount of yellow Glimmer Mist on it and cut two shapes using my Nestabilities. These have provided the background for the flower.
I cut the front on a diagonal, covered it with the striped paper and then covered the inside of the card in a different paper. It's very difficult to photograph so the first is lying flat and the second is how it looks standing up!  The flowers have been made using dies.  I put a little bling In the centre of the flower.
On this card I used a paper rose bud in the centre. The black leaves are also a die. When I stamped the sentiment I stamped it first in white and then stamped over the top in black to make it stand out more.
She is...One Sassy Girl by Anita Bownds
Anita's layout is set out so that the main focus is immediately drawn to the photo and those eyes.....  The simplicity and splash of colour makes it a very versatile page, with clean lines.  The staggered top and bottom borders are also very effective with a splash of cherry red.
Anita has used the embossing folder on the background and sanded over the top of the embossed image.   She has also used a brick wall template to add a slight shadow to the background.

Lovely work girls, this pack is indeed proving to be very versatile.

Glitzing the Page!!

Hi Everyone, well what better way to describe this Scrapville Monthly Pack than to Glitz It!!  I am SO itching to have a play with this one, the texture, colour and patterns in this range are fantastic.  I hope these creations will also inspire you to pick one up as well.
Drought by Sally Clark (CT)
Dry brushed the white cardstock with blue and gray paint and then gave it some blue misting.
Cut the strips of paper and dry brushed all the edges with the paint also. Hand sewed some lines between the paper strips.  I punched some circles from the patterned paper and applied a nice thick layer of Dimensional Magic and topped it all off with a sprinkle of blue bling randomly around the Layout.
Created a 'banner' by using the Score Board and pleating a wide strip of paper and adding a narrow paper banner across the middle.  This has come up a treat Sally, love what you've done.

Oct/Nov Sketch Challenges

Today we've the last Sketch Challenge to share, which is on show on Scrapville's Wall of Fame.  Apologies for not getting it up sooner, but we'll have votes tonight!!  Now, we're sharing some layouts using the new monthly sketch.  I hope you're being inspired by Anita's lovely designs and will join in with the challenge.
Peek a Boo (with GrandPa) by Heather Bensley
Heather has used her colours well, blending the orange and teal together.  The rosette flowers are a lovely addition to a boys page, along with the text paper, buttons and twine.
A closer look at the whitewashed background, and layering of the photo and papers. The twine has been adhered with it's loops intact, which also looks very effective.  Well done Heather.
Juarez by Sally Clark (CT)
I used a Carolee's Creations acrylic stamp set for the ink splodges and a Jilibean Soup stamp set (travel) for all the other little bits and they worked PERFECTLY or this LO.
As some of the stamps are circular they fitted into circle punches beautifully, which allowed for some layering on the 'Photo Opp' stamp.
For the journaling below the title I used some old rub-ons to create the words I wanted.
The green scallop edging was actually cut from the extra strip across the bottom of the paper that usually gets thrown away...reduce, re-use, recycle at its best!
I wanted the title to stand up off the page so I adhered the Basic Gray alpha stickers to acetate and cut around the entire word before mounting it to the LO and finished it off with some Dimensional Magic on each letter.
On the tag I used some extra journaling, then tied the end with a thin strip of paper and a piece of thread.
I used a tiny red bling to mark on the world stamp roughly the area where this pic was taken and the word stamp 'You are here...' worked perfectly as well.
Well done girls, lovley creations.
